The Girl Next Door
As a parent it's critical that I instill the best values in my children. I constantly tell my 11-year-old daughter the importance of individuality and being strong enough to make your own decisions.

That's what I told my daughter she's going to dress up as Hanna Montana for Halloween. Miley Cyrus has made, like, millions of dollars playing Hanna Montana on television, so that makes her a perfect role model for my weak-minded daughter. Not to mention that Cyrus' dad is Billy Ray Cyrus - that's pretty cool in my book.

I ordered the costume early so my wife would have time to make any alterations to it before Halloween. The gold alova jacket is probably going to be a little small for most normal 11-year-old girls, but it was perfect for my petite daughter (her growth was stunted early on by her mother's smoking during pregnancy).

The costume comes with the aforementioned jacket, but what really makes this costume are the sexy black leggings, jewel-encrusted belt and blonde wig. When worn together the costume screams "attitude!"

Since all elements of the costume are made from 100% polyester, I highly suggest that you hand wash each item separately. Maybe it's just me, but the costume seems a little too flimsy to just toss it into the washer.

I'd also suggest buying the Hannah Montana Microphone to complete the costume.

My daughter is sure to turn heads in the neighborhood this Halloween. All of the long looks and cat calls will certainly raise her self-confidence, which is critical for 11-year-old girls these days.

Charming but not for multiple uses...
The costume arrived very quickly and was quite charming. My stepson adored it. However, I don't recommend this product if you are planning on using it for more than one event. He wore it to a costume party the week before, trick or treating at school, and then again on Halloween night and by the time Halloween came around the silver material on the cowl was snagging. It still looked good, but it came as kind of a surprise.

Definitely get the costume however if you are not planning on putting so much wear and tear on it as my little four year old did.

My baby looked adorable for her 1st birthday in this dress. Its made very well. The dress was slightly big for her but it was still fine.
